Giving Back This Holiday Season: Two Incredible Charities We’re Proud to Support

John Stanton |

As the holiday season approaches, our team takes a moment to pause and reflect on what truly matters.

That’s why, every year during the holidays, we focus on the local and national charities our team members support that are doing extraordinary work on the ground and shine a light on them.

This December, we’re kicking off our giving series by highlighting two organizations that are doing life-changing work.

Share Food Share Love – Feeding Neighbors with Dignity https://www.sharefoodsharelove.org/

Food shouldn’t be a luxury, yet far too many families in the Chicagoland area still face the heartbreaking choice between groceries and rent. Share Food Share Love (based in the Brookfield, Il ) brings hunger relief to 14 villages in the Chicagoland area.

What we love most: their “choice pantry” model lets people shop for the food they actually want and need — fresh fruits and vegetables, proteins, culturally relevant items — instead of receiving a pre-packed box. It’s a simple shift that restores dignity and reduces waste.

Last year they distributed more than 20 million pounds of food and served tens of thousands of households.

One dollar donated = four meals provided. That’s impact you can feel.

Lazarus House Ministries – A Hand Up, Not Just a Handout https://www.lazarushouse.net/

When a family faces eviction, domestic violence, or sudden job loss, they need more than temporary shelter — they need a path forward.

Lazarus House in St Charles, Il  operates emergency shelters, transitional housing, food pantries, soup kitchens, and comprehensive support services (job training, financial literacy classes, advocacy, and more) — all rooted in respect and the belief that every person deserves the chance to regain stability.

They serve over 10,000 people each year, and 92¢ of every dollar donated goes directly to programs. We’ve seen firsthand how their holistic approach helps families move from crisis to self-sufficiency — and stay there.

Share Food Share Love and Lazarus House are two of the most compassionate, efficient, and dignified responses to hunger and homelessness we’ve found.
